Liberty Park Open to the Public Following Official Reopening by Lord Mayor
Liberty Park in the North East Inner City was officially reopened today by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Councillor Ray McAdam, following significant improvement works funded by the North East Inner City Initiative and carried out by Dublin City Council Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services.
The reopening marks a milestone in efforts to improve the local park. The project was supported by residents living around the park and by the Liberty Park Working Group.
The aim of the initiative is to improve community usage of the park and create a new sense of ownership amongst residents. As part of the park’s improvements, a play trail has being installed to create an engaging and inclusive space for children and families.
Speaking at Liberty Park’s reopening, Lord Mayor of Dublin Cllr Ray McAdam said “We haven’t just reopened a playground; we’ve reopened heartbeat – a safe, inclusive space where children play, neighbours connect and community pride grows.
