The joint report offers new insights into the experiences of those over 70 who were advised to ‘cocoon’ as part of public health advice to limit the spread of the virus. The report uses data from ALONE to compare feelings of loneliness, anxiety and isolation in older adults before and during the pandemic.

REDEMPTION OF A ROGUE picked up two major awards at the Galway Film Fleadh last night.  The Cavan-set film, which had its sold-out world premiere at the festival on Saturday night, won both the Best Irish Film and Best Irish First Feature awards.  This is the first time since 2013 that a film has won both awards.
