Expert Advice, Choice and Inspiration at this Autumn’s PTSB Ideal Home Show

Up to 30,000 people will attend the PTSB Ideal Home Show which returns to the RDS Simmonscourt this weekend, from Friday to Sunday, 20th to 22nd October. This is an opportunity to meet home improvement professionals and suppliers from all around Ireland. There are hundreds of exhibitors ready to help homeowners implement their perfect home renovation, extension or new build, and discover a world of furnishings, appliances and lifestyle pieces.
At the Show, visitors will find ideas and products for managing home energy upgrades and grants. A visit to the Electric Ireland Superhomes Home Energy Upgrade Pavilion will provide all the information you need to know to make an informed decision when looking for ways to reduce energy costs or make a plan to retrofit your home. SEAI recently published a report stating:
- 21,727 retrofits were completed in the first half of this year, supported through Government-funded SEAI grant schemes, up 150% on the same period last year, with a strong pipeline of demand for the rest of the year.
- SEAI processed more than 31,500 grant applications across all schemes, up 41% on the same period last year.
- Solar PV property upgrades are up a massive 231% over last year.
- 7,566 homes were upgraded to a BER B2 rating or higher, up 210% on last year.
- 7,122 attic and 5,641 cavity wall upgrades were supported. This is one of the most effective ways to make a home warmer and more efficient.

The PTSB Ideal Home Show has been established for over 30 years as Ireland’s largest Home Event. The autumn 2023 show will be perfect for homeowners, movers and improvers ready to engage with 220 high-calibre exhibitors.
