Busker Fleadh brings an eclectic programme of music to Smithfield Square this Sunday
Dublin, 15th September 2019 Experience the best of independent music and performance in an electrifying atmosphere at the Busker Fleadh, taking place this Sunday, 15th September from 11.30am-5pm, in Smithfield Square. Organised by Dublin City Council, this FREE family event will showcase some of the most invigorating busking acts from around Ireland.
The line up of solo performers covers a range of genres, from folk rock to soul, and everything in between. The Sandymount Gospel Choir will also be performing on the day.
There will be a competitive edge to the event, as music industry judges will choose their favourite buskers, one group and one solo act. Both successful acts will win a paid slot in Whelan’s, and an overall winner will receive a free recording session at Windmill Lane Studio (valued at €1,000) with a professional sound engineer and will leave with a digital copy of their recordings.
Aside from the musical talents, the Stoneybatter & Smithfield Food Festival will run in tandem with the Busker Fleadh, with plenty of delicious eateries, confectionaries, free tasting and much more on offer! Smithfield Square will come alive as music meanders through the food stalls affording the guest a chance to enjoy the idyllic pairing of food and music.

The Busker Fleadh is being held in association with the Smithfield Stoneybatter Food Festival, a gastronomy fare taking place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th September 2019.
