Speaking about Dublin Kite Festival 2015, Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke said; “Dublin Kite Festival is a wonderful event and I’m delighted it’s returning to one of my favourite spots in Dublin, Dollymount Strand, this year. Kite flying is one of those great family activities that is suitable for all ages, you don’t have to be a child or even a kite enthusiast to enjoy yourself. It’s all about being outside, being active and having fun. Everyone is welcome, from our youngest citizens to our most senior. You will be guaranteed a great day out.”
Deric Ó hArtagáin, 3e Weatherman “The Dublin Kite Festival has fast become one of the highlights of my summer; the atmosphere is always upbeat and everyone is always in great spirits. When you think about it, kite flying is an ideal activity for both young and old, considering we live on a windy island in the middle of the Atlantic!”
Don’t worry if you’ve never flown a kite – or if you can’t remember the last time you did – because there will be plenty of kiting experts on hand to get you off the ground! With lively music, exciting games, kite making workshops, a kite flying competition and buckets of enthusiasm you’re sure to have a great day at Dublin Kite Festival 2015. Let’s go fly a kite!
