You’ll Never Abseil ALONE!
ALONE supported the older community with a Charity Abseil in Croke Park today.
ALONE, the organisation which supports older people to age at home, held a charity abseil in Croke Park in aid of ALONE today, Wednesday 30th of October, with all proceeds raised going to support older people in need.
Companies, teams and individuals participated in this event, which was supported by corporate partners Standard Life, Zurich, Bayer, Ald Re Automotive, Beechfield Healthcare, Red Cow Moran and The Moriarty Group.
Over 50 people participated in the abseil, with family, friends and colleagues present to cheer them on as they took part in this daring feat to support the older and more vulnerable members of the community.
The number one request for ALONE services ahead of housing is for social interaction and engagement, which is something we all crave and lack at certain points in our lives.
The Abseil for ALONE was an amazing opportunity to come together as a supportive community and take on a challenge against loneliness and homelessness, in an iconic Irish sporting ground.
