ICAD was established in 1958 and is one of the oldest non-profit, membership-led creative organisations in Europe. It is dedicated to ensuring Irish design and advertising excel both nationally and internationally.

The awards were co-hosted by the former Wexford hurling legend, Diarmuid Lyng, and Rossi McAuley, the newly-elected President of ICAD. Proving to be a remarkably entertaining double-act, the pair brought a new informal energy to the proceedings reflecting the confidence and optimism of the industry.

In his inaugural address, Rossi McAuley, the newly-elected President of ICAD, congratulated the winners and stressed the vital importance of the continued participation of ICAD’s creative community in all aspects of the organisation’s activities.

McAuley said, “ICAD’s future will be informed by its proud past but it remains vital and relevant because our members are actively engaged in the daily business of creating and producing award winning work for national and international brands.” He also restated ICAD’s commitment to its primary mission “to foster, promote and reward creative excellence in Irish advertising and design.”

Synonymous with creative excellence, ICAD awards strive to protect and maintain the value of the awards and hand pick a selection of the greatest Irish and international creative minds as jurors.
