ITAA welcome the support of travel partners during ongoing Coronavirus issue
The ITAA has received support from a number of their suppliers who are offering free of charge changes for customers affected by travel disruptions.
The ITAA have welcomed the support of travel partners who are liberalising costs and changing travel arrangements in order to support the Irish travel sector as Coronavirus continues to disrupt the travel industry.
Pat Dawson, CEO of the ITAA, said, “The ITAA wish to extend our sincere thanks to our travel partner suppliers who are offering flexibility which can include free of charge changes to customers during these tough times. Our members are very grateful and will continue to support these suppliers. We really appreciate your assistance, and would call on our other partners to follow suit as we try to navigate our way through this issue. We are aware that others may introduce a change in policy in the coming days.”
The ITAA is aware that the following airlines currently have policies for free of charge changes: Aer Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, KLM, Air France, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, AirCanada and WestJet. It is important to note that each airline has slightly different rules, but most offer changes valid for ticketed/issued bookings from the month of March. Other suppliers offering flexibility include The Travel Corporation, MSC Cruises and Silversea Cruises.
